Sip, a local coffeehouse at Ogden and Grand offers a wide variety of delicious hot drinks to warm you up on a cold day. Open from 8:00am to 7:00pm, Sip is a great spot to meet up with friends and get out of the cold.

Sip is one of the longest running independent coffeehouses in Chicago. It opened in 1999 and has since been exclusively serving Chicago’s own Intelligentsia coffee, different loose leaf teas, and homemade drinks for their many customers. The coffeehouse has two outdoor courtyards during the warmer months, and a nice seating area inside to sip your hot drink during the winter.

Sip’s mochas and lattes are to die for, and their signature coffee drinks like the “Sip-Cago” add a little extra to your normal coffee. They also offer smoothies, teas, and Chai for those who do not like coffee.

Sip is a great hangout spot to sit back, relax, and have a drink by yourself or even with friends.
