A Quick Review of the iPhone 11 Series

What has three eyes, looks like the itsy-bitsy spider, and just might give people trypophobia (a fear of holes)? If you guessed the newest iPhone, then you got it!

As it makes its debut into the world, Apple’s newest iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max have together garnered several mixed opinions. Those with different iPhone models, such as Margo Cicero, ‘22, may consider this upgrade “a big no-no.” I guess doing the most doesn’t always work out.

Then there are those like Mikayla Ballard, ‘20, who “haven’t even seen it, but they’re ridiculously expensive so it’s not worth it regardless.” And she isn’t completely wrong – Apple’s freshest gadgets are a guaranteed thousand-dollar investment, if you can meet the price. For one, the iPhone 11 comes in a variety of never-before-seen colors, including lavender and mint green, in addition to classic white, black, yellow and red. On the other hand, the 11 Pro comes in a more limited, sleek assortment – midnight green, space gray, silver and gold. The tech features range from an extended battery life and expanded water resistance to dual (or triple) camera systems and a telephoto lens. Yet, there are still those, like Hailey Love, ‘21, who just see the physical embodiment of “a fear of holes” when they look at it.

We’ve seen it all – obsession, indifference, and blatant disregard. Everyone’s got something to say about the new iPhones – what else is new? No matter what you think about it, with its innovative features and advanced technology, it’ll take more than a little water damage to wash this spider out. 🙂
