January 13, 2020, marks the biggest college football game of the year, and once again, the two teams will not disappoint. Clemson and LSU meet at the Mercedes Benz stadium in New Orleans to play their final game of the season. Clemson is coming in to the game ranked #3 in the nation with the help of their star quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence has yet to lose a game as a starter and is only a sophomore. On the other side of the pitch lies Joe Burrow and his #1 seeded LSU team. Joe Burrow won the Heisman trophy this year and has established himself as the best quarterback in college football.

After going up by 10 points, Clemson proceeded to blow their lead that they got in the first quarter. Joe Burrow turned up the heat with 5 touchdowns to lead the LSU Tigers over the Clemson Tigers 42-25.

“I actually thought Clemson was going to win for a second,” exclaimed Cece Thyen, ‘20.

Bence Szabados, ‘20, added, “Joe Burrow is way too good to lose. He’s gonna kill it in the league.”

Colin Moran, ‘18, also noted, “the gap in the scoreline doesn’t show how good the game really was.”
