The Pitch Perfect movie franchise finally came to an end when Pitch Perfect 3 came out on December 22nd, 2017. In the third film, the Barden Bellas reunite after years of separation and compete in a military singing group of event for a chance to work with DJ Khaled. As an acapella group, the Barden Bellas have to prove they are capable of winning against groups that use actual instruments. Meanwhile, a figure from Fat Amy’s past comes back and ends up endangering the lives of all of the Bellas.

Ellie Lynch ‘18 had this to say about the newly released film: “It was funny. I really enjoyed it. It felt like they kind of slapped it together to make a sequel to the last movie just to make money though. Fat Amy is definitely funny and it was worth a watch, especially if you’re a hardcore fan.”

Sonia Meisner ‘19 had her own opinion on the film: “I have really liked the Pitch Perfect series for a while and this movie was a really good ending to the series. It all came together at the end and it was really funny! The second movie was kind of not that good but this one was totally a great movie. It is worth the watch!.”

Thomas Stanton ‘20 had something to say: “It was good. I liked it even though I am not a huge fan of the movies.”

Although the Pitch Perfect series is over, dedicated fans can stream the movies or purchase them on DVD to keep reliving each moment of their aca-awkward moments. If you haven’t seen Pitch Perfect 3 in theaters yet then you’re missing out! It’s a great movie and you better aca-believe it!
