After years of being heavily scouted, she has committed to a university nearby her home, but still intends to take off on the court. Here’s more about her journey to become a D1 college bound athletic.

DePaul University for girls basketball

  1.       How long was the recruitment process?

Colleges have been looking at me since my 8th grade year.

  1.       What made you start playing basketball?

It runs in my family. All of my siblings played basketball when they were younger and I looked up to them. I wanted to be like them, so I just started playing.

  1.       How long have you been playing basketball?

Since about 4th grade. But at the time, I wasn’t very good.

  1.       How has your schedule changed to accommodate basketball practices/games?

We have something every day! Whether it’s conditioning or practice or just meetings, we always have something going on.

  1.       How tough was it to fully commit to basketball?

Oh my goodness, it’s so tough. I had privates almost every other day. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into this sport.

  1.       Last question, is ball really life?

Of course!! My life isn’t complete without touching a basketball every day. I eat, sleep, and think basketball.
