There is a talent showcase called “Chi-Towns Got Talent,” being hosted by Caliko the Poet  and it will take place at 6 pm on May 26th at Prairie State College, located at 202 South Halsted in Chicago Heights..  This year’s competition will feature two of Whitney Youngs very own, Veronica Perkins’18 and Deja Bluntson ‘18. Veronica Perkins will be performing an original poetry piece and Deja Bluntson will be performing an original rap song. The prizes include $700 for first place, $300 for second place, and $100 for third place. Each individual has 5 minutes to shock the crowd and three guest judges. There are 20 contestants, all performing rap, poetry, and songs. Both Deja and Veronica are selling tickets, so if you enjoy this form of art come out and support.
