Teacher Appreciation Week.

The start of AP testing also marks the beginning of Teacher Appreciation week. Monday, May 7th marks the first day of Teacher Appreciation week, so make sure to thank your teachers for all the hard work they’ve put in to teach you.

“I appreciate most of the teachers I have,” says Aiken Thompson ‘19, “Some are really good at their jobs and really try to make sure I understand the concepts.”

Since Teacher Appreciation day is on the second day of AP testing, May 8th, it is the best time to go and give thanks to your teacher. A little good karma may help you out when you go and take your AP test. Visit the National PTA website to get a template for a card you can give to your favorite teacher.

“There are so many amazing and talented teachers at Whitney Young that i’m so delighted to have” said Luna Mac-Williams ‘18 commenting on the quality of teachers at this school.

Teacher Appreciation week isn’t just a made up holiday either, it even has its own hashtag, #thankateacher, and promotions.

Chipotle is offering buy one get one meals for teachers who bring their faculty identification cards.  Chick-fil-A is offering a free sandwich between 10:30am and 10:00pm to all teachers with a valid ID.

So this Teacher Appreciation week don’t just thank your teacher with words, give them the gift of free food by letting them know about these amazing deals.
