Springtime
Kennedy Higginbottom
This year Spring began on Tuesday March 20th. Although it is spring, in Chicago we have been receiving some winter weather. Not only has the temperature remained low in these past three weeks, but it has began to to snow again. Does this prove global warming issue or is it just a flux. Even major news organizations wonder if it’s spring.Times
Cierra McCullough ‘18 says “ I hate how I still have to wear a heavy coat because it hasn’t warmed up yet.”

Regardless of the current temperature, within the next couple of weeks it is supposed to warm up. There are many springtime activities that can be done.
Fly a Kite (Northerly Island)
There is no better place to fly a kite, Northerly Island is pretty much always windy.
Visit Nature
Go to a Baseball Game (Cubs and White Sox)
Go on a Bike Ride (Lakeshore trail)
Go to the Park (Maggie Daley)
Go on a Walk (Downtown/ Millennium Park)
Go on a Picnic
Nandi Myhand ‘21 says” My favorite Springtime activity is going outside with my friends and walking around the city.”

Whether it’s snowing or raining or the Sun is shining bright, enjoy your springtime.
