Once again, it is time for Whitney M. Young’s annual Spring Bash! For those of you who don’t know, Spring Bash is our school’s annual party where we also raffle off some amazing prizes. This year, the event will be hosted at a new location, Bridgeport’s Zhou B. Art Center at 1029 W. 35th Street. The event is open to the whole school, including both students and parents. They will provide good food, an open bar, music, a silent auction, and best of all, a car auction! This year’s car that will be auctioned off is a 2017 Jeep Renegade Sport 4×4. Marino Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, located at 5133 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, IL 60641, was gracious enough to provide the beautiful Jeep. Whitney Young student, Nyla David 19’ tells us “it is really cool that you can win a car.” While Haley Wellman 18’ says “I think it is unfair that in 7th grade, you won a crappy car, but now you can win a Jeep.” As usual, the tickets for this event are $10 each, so make sure to reach out to all your friends and family to join us at the Bash. In addition, all of the ticket proceeds will be supporting Whitney M. Young High School. Don’t miss this year’s drawing on Friday, April 13 at the Spring Bash! What’s better than winning a car?
