Bunch of Donuts was a short-lived comedy oriented game show were students of Whitney Young were in the running to win a $5 Dunkin’ Donuts gift card simply by walking through a door. The twist? The contestants had no idea they were even playing! Bunch of Donuts was hosted by none other than LaCurtis Bunch and was Bunch’s first ever role in acting. Before becoming the host of Bunch of Donuts, Bunch was an aspiring SoundCloud rapper with no released tracks. After Bunch of Donuts, Bunch was an aspiring SoundCloud rapper with 1 released track and a promising career in game show hosting.

I asked a few students their thoughts on Bunch of Donuts. Some had never even heard of the show, “What’s that?” said Nain Galo ‘18. Others loved the show, “I love Bunch of Donuts” said Kevin Mai ‘18. Whether you love, hate, watch, or don’t watch Bunch of Donuts, I think we can all agree that it was a good effort and it ended too soon.
