Wrigley Summer Concerts Are A Home Run!

With school coming to an end, if you are looking to be outside and listen to great live music, Chicago’s Wrigley Field is the perfect place to be this summer. On some summer nights when there are not Cubs games, Wrigley offers a variety of concerts that surely cannot be missed. Ava Hunter ‘19 who enjoys music and baseball said, “I love being able to go to a Cubs game one day and seeing a great live concert the next.” Many different musicians, performing everything from rock to pop, will be playing in the outfield in 2017. Kate Bailey ‘17, spoke about her experience saying, “I saw Luke Bryan at Wrigley last summer with friends. Good music and also a fun venue.” Concerts will be going on from June until August and tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster or any other ticketing agency. This year’s lineup, listed in chronological order, includes: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Jimmy Buffett, James Taylor, Billy Joel, Florida Georgia Line, Green Day, Lady Gaga, and Zac Brown Band. Clayton Mendez ‘18 reacted to the lineup saying, “I am very excited to see Billy Joel and Zac Brown Band this summer.” No matter what type of music you prefer there is something for everyone at Wrigley Field.
