The West Loop features many fine Thai cuisines. Though many are worth your time and money, none are nearly as appetizing as Butterfly Sushi Bar & Thai Cuisine. Butterfly Sushi Bar & Thai Cuisine is located at 1139 West Grand Avenue, but with three locations throughout the city you aren’t confined to the West Loop to enjoy their delicious menu. The ambiance of the restaurant is modern yet very comfortable. The sushi bar provides a fun opportunity to watch your food hand crafted right in front of you. If sitting at the sushi bar isn’t your style, the cozy booths offer a relaxing environment to share a meal with your friends.
While the food does come quickly, if you are planning on visiting Butterfly during your lunch period, you would be better off ordering ahead of time. For the most comfortable eating experience, an after school meal would probably be the best time to visit. Even though the restaurant is often bustling with customers, the staff does a great job maintaining privacy and quality service.
The pricing at Butterfly Sushi Bar & Thai Cuisine is very reasonable for the quantity of food you get with each meal. Most entrees will cost you around $10 and you will likely end up taking home leftovers. When I last visited the restaurant, I ordered the Catfish Dynamite. I received a heaping portion of deep-fried catfish smothered in a delicious curry paste with red peppers, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, green beans, and eggplant. I was very satisfied with the food and the $12 purchase included enough food to provide me with lunch for the next day.
With an extensive menu offering both sushi and Thai cuisine, Butterfly Sushi Bar & Thai Cuisine is sure to have something you will enjoy. Butterfly Sushi Bar & Thai Cuisine is only a couple blocks from Whitney Young and can be enjoyed any time from 11:00am to 10:00pm.
