On November 1st, 2019, millions of seniors nationwide scrambled to turn in their applications for college, staying up until 11:59 pm on CommonApp to meet the Early Action/Decision  deadlines. As seniors were stressed to complete the supplemental essays and turn in their transcripts, many students still had to deal with the surplus of work provided by the teachers, just in case they got bored. “I feel the pressure of trying to balance everything at once, and I thought junior year was hard- senior year is a beast,” said Rogelio Renteria ‘20. Now that the deadline has passed, students are still working to complete their Financial Aid and other key elements of the college process. Sylvia Love, ‘20 stated, “A big relief has been lifted, given the fact that I’ve completed all of my applications for the November 1st deadline. But I am still left with the pressure of making the decision and getting the most money for college that is possible.” Khloe Wright ‘21 stated, “It even stressed me out, watching all of the seniors try to make the big push for applications. But knowing that they’ve accomplished so much by November gives me the motivation to get my applications done early for senior year as well.” As seniors push to finish the rest of the school year, Early Action is finally checked off the list.
