Cuffing Season

With back to school in full swing and the fall season quickly approaching, students of Whitney Young are preparing for cuffing season

Jay Rehak, DubTV teacher, asked “what season? I don’t know what that means.”

Cuffing season, a time when relationships are formed quickly, begins in early October as youth search for someone with whom to spend the cold winter months. All of sudden, before you know it, it seems as if everyone you know is cuffed. But it may not always be as easy as the movies make it to be – so how can you prepare for cuffing season?

Whitney Young Dolphin, Frances Harris 20’, weighed in, “I think you find it where you least expect it. Me and my guy were friends for 4 years before we started talking really and now I’ve been dating him for about 9 months.” Finding someone this season might just happen by luck.

Not everyone is as fortunate as Frances. Zoe Hansen 23’ added, “I like someone, but I’m not going to go and ask them because they’re probably going to say no.”

Whether you’re looking for someone this cuffing season or are content living the single life, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!
