Valentine’s Day Festivities

The first month of the new year is coming to the end. Our first festive holiday of the year is approaching as fast as the red and pink decorations began to adorn the surrounding environment around us. February, the month of love, is the time to celebrate our significant others. This holiday is not only reserved for our boyfriends or girlfriends, but it can also be for everyone! Natalia Perez ‘19 says she, “Can’t wait to watch sappy movies at home and have a fun get together with my friends!” Here are some fun Valentine’s Day activities you can do during the first half of February to celebrate love:

This spot is well-known by locals for being one of the most romantic restaurants in the city. Located in Lincoln Park, their indulgent menu includes their famous cheese fondue, along with fresh seafood, meat, and vegetables. For dessert, dip treats into pots of rich chocolate fondue.

What else is more romantic than holding hands while gliding across the smooth ice rink or falling together on top of each other on the ice and laughing at your horrible skating skills together! If you have your own skates, then that is more of a reason to go on a fun ice skating date!

The most romantic flower in the plant kingdom: the orchid! You can see over 10,000 orchids and even be able to purchase one for your sweetheart. While you’re at it, this is the perfect opportunity to snap some of the loveliest pictures.
