Destiny Mallory, Editor

In honor of the first day of December, it is only acceptable to recall the wonder childhood movies featured on ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas. This program block included a vast array of Christmas Movies on one of our favorite channels, from December 1st until Christmas. Of course, You don’t want to sit here and read about all of the movies, but I’ll tell you about my top 3.

1.Elf

This movie surrounds an elf named Buddy who is on the pursuit to find his birth father. He travels to New York City, encounters a love interest in the process of creating a bond with his biological parents. “After watching this, you’ll definitely contemplate putting syrup on your spaghetti,” Keyshawn Aytch ‘19 said when talking about the treasured Christmas movie.

2.Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas

All of his life, the Grinch felt out of place because he didn’t look the same as the other citizens of whoville. Eventually, he was pushed to his limit, and he fled to a mountain overlooking the town. He has closed himself off to the world for a long time, but this Christmas, he’s coming out to get his revenge. He attempts to ruin their holiday, but has a change of heart. “I don’t like the Grinch, because he lowkey scares me,” says Siauna Respress ‘20.

3.The Santa Clause

Scott, a divorced man who is making an attempt to form a closer bond with his family is spending Christmas with him this year. On the night of Christmas Eve, as they’re sleeping, they hear someone fall off of the roof. They go outside to discover that it is Santa Clause, but only the suit is present when they walk over to further investigate. Scott picks up a note instructing him to put on the suit, and the rest is Christmas history.
