Tamar Braxton has recently announced in the news that she is filing for divorce from Vincent Herbert, her husband of nine years. It has not yet been discussed who will be granted custody of their four year old son Logan Vincent. When asked what she thought about the recent divorce, Aja Jones ‘18 said,”they’ve been together for a long time and they should fight for their marriage.” This may not be a consideration for the two considering their history.

This separation was partially foreseen, because the couple has had a number of interesting altercations made public in the duration of their marriage.  The most recent one that was brought to the attention of the public occurred about a year ago. The future divorcee allegedly accused her partner of biting her hand during an argument, and the police were called. “ Celebrities are born to be dramatic, I know, but this minuscule altercation did not need to play out the way it did.” Jeya Price ‘20 said in regards to the event. I know it sounds pretty comical, but it may have seriously hurt her so let’s not laugh… lol.

Although they have had trouble in the past, this may have come as a shock to some due to the fact that Tamar announced to tabloids that she was “retiring from music to protect her music career.” Now that the 40 year-old singer is bringing the marriage to an end, all we can do is wonder what her next move will be.
