Spring concerts headed to Chicago

Besides the Taste of Chicago, the Chicago summer music festivals are the highlight of the summer. This year’s lineups are sure to be a crowd pleaser. Below is a quick rundown of the festivals including the dates, artists that are headlining, and locations.

Lollapalooza takes place July 31 – August 2 at Grant Park. Headlining artists include Paul McCartney, Metallica, Florence & the Machine, Sam Smith, The Weeknd, Kid Cudi, and A$AP Rocky.

Pitchfork is scheduled for July 17-19 in Union Park. Artists include Chance the Rapper, Chvrches, iLovemakonnen, Wilco, A$AP Ferg, Vic Mensa, and Sleater-Kinney.

Spring Awakening, planned for June 12-14, is expected to host big artists such as Zedd, Tiesto, Diplo, Skrillex, Flosstradamus, Hardwell. Eric Prydz, and Afrojack.

North Coast, which is always the latest music festival of the summer, will be September 2-4. The lineup is still to be determined, but it’s guaranteed to be exciting.
