Report Card Pickup

Bence Szabados

Thursday, November 14th , was Report Card Pickup Day for CPS high schools. Students got a day off, and parents had the opportunity to talk to teachers about their kid in class. First quarter grades are only important for seniors, as those grades are being sent to colleges. While everyone else didn’t worry too much about what was on those report cards. Here are some thoughts on Report Card Pickup day.

Helen McKnight, 20’, stated “I’m not too worried about my grades, I made sure to stay on top of everything right from the beginning of the year.”

Donovan Michel, 21’, noted “I probably could have done a little better this quarter but semester grades are the important ones so I have time to make them better.”

Ms. Leki, English teacher, said “I like getting to meet the parents that come. I think parents should always have a complete understanding of how their child is doing in class, good or bad. I also like helping parents figure out ways to help their child succeed.”

Whether your grades are where you want them to be, or not quite there yet, don’t fret. There’s still time to get the grades you want. After all, only semester grades are the important ones.
