Trying your best not to be Stressed

We are well into the school year and we are all drowning in homework, losing a little more sleep every night, and wondering if this is all worth it. Let me start by saying yes, all the hard work that you are putting into your academic, athletic, artistic, and personal lives are all worth it. You will definitely see a successful outcome in due time. Considering all the hard work you are doing, you should take time to breathe and treat yo’self. Somethings you could try include:

  1. Meditation— From my experience, I have found meditation to be really relaxing and
  2. Bubble bath– If you want to feel like a middle-aged woman and not the sick and tired high schooler you are, I would highly recommend this with roses and a glass of sparkling cider.
  3. Six piece with lemon pepper and mild sauce– I think this goes without saying for the southsiders.
  4. Yoga— Yoga releases the tension in both the mind and body. Nyla David ‘18 enjoys taking hot yoga classes at her local yoga studio. “I like the movement and slow tempo of the class. It’s really calming, especially considering the temperature”, David expressed.
  5. Shopping spree– Even if you’re on a budget, going thrifting is always fun with friends.
