Dance Shows in Chicago

Ayla Makris, Writer

Hello Dancing Dolphins,

As most of you know, Ms. Gordon assigns a dance critique every year. This means that you have to watch a dance show and write a lengthy paper about the elements they used in their pieces. Isabel Makris ‘22 says “This is my first time doing a dance critique and it is stressful.” The dance show has to be created by a professional dance company, not your 3 year old sister hopping around the kitchen in a tutu. Ana Gore ‘20 says “It’s difficult to find dance shows on time for my dance critique.” So I have compiled a list of dance shows coming up in the Chicago area performed by professionals that are at a reasonable price just for you! There is a short description for each dance so read them and see which one peaks your interest. Each title has a link that takes you to a page where you can buy the tickets for that specific dance piece. I have also included a link where you can find more dance performances by professional companies like these.
