Justin Stovall at the Proviso East, Where they also won the Proviso East tournament earlier this season.

Justin Stovall is a mover and a shaker. Not only does he’s move a lot on the court but he also moves a lot off the court. He is a current senior at Whitney Young High School who is expected to graduate in June. Justin is not a Chicago native. He has been moving around from city to city all his life; he’s actually from Germany and he used to live in Texas. But now he lives in the South Loop of Chicago. His junior year he transferred from Grayslake North high school to Whitney Young high school and he joined the boys basketball team. His senior year he and his team had a great season and an even better playoff performance that resulted in them winning the state championship. When asked about the biggest win in his basketball career, Justin said, “ Man, it is one of the best things that ever happened to me. We worked our butts off all year and we knew it would pay off. I’m just glad I got to do it with my brothers and I’ll never forget them.” Justin will be continuing his basketball career at the University of Wisconsin – Platteville in the winter of 2017. Now that Justin is moving on to a new part of his life, the Whitney Young community wishes him luck on his career at the next level and life moving on!
