1)   Always and Forever Lara Jean, (2017) by Jenny Han

3)   Thirteen Reasons Why, (2007) by Jay Asher

Thanks to the recent release of the Netflix series of the same name, Thirteen Reasons Why, has generated a lot of buzz—both good and bad. The novel is told from the perspective of Clay Jensen who is a given a box of tapes to listen to. On the tapes, Hannah Baker has recorded her 13 reasons for why she committed suicide, revealing a different person who is to blame on each tape. 4)   Everything, Everything (2015), by Nicola Yoon

Before visiting the movie theater this summer, make sure to read Yoon’s novel, Everything, Everything.
