Sonos App Review

Natalia Swack

Have you ever dreamed about being able to control music all around the house by the touch of a button? If so, your dream has finally come true. Sonos is the app that lets you do it all. Sonos is a wireless Home Sound System that sets up quickly and makes listening easy. Once you download the the free app you can connect it directly to your home WiFi network. After you purchase and set up the Sonos speakers or Sonia speaker converter, you can send different songs to different rooms at the same time. Or, you could play one song in sync throughout your entire house. Through Sonos, you can access Pandora, Spotify, your music library, the radio, and more. Not only can you control volume and sound selection from your fingertips, but you can do so from any location within your house.
Since Sonos is controlled through wifi and not Bluetooth, your friends and family can access it as well when they come over to your house. “Whenever I have friends over, I use Sonos to blast music through my entire house and have a dance party. It’s pretty fun,” Amelia Thyen ‘17.
Whitney Young junior, Lilly Clint ‘18, also loves Sonos because “it’s incredibly convenient and easy to use.  Everyone should get it.” If you do decide to download Sonos and purchase a speaker, you have a 45-day trial period and if you’re unsatisfied, you can return it free of charge. Sonos brings listening to music to a whole new level.
