Humans of WY: Nicole Wojnowski ’18

Q: What is your most embarrassing moment at WY?
A: So last year during the winter, we had a few cold days where we had no school. Me being a “freshie” I didn’t really know how to plan anything, but I hated to procrastinate. We had a cold day in the middle in the week and I had a test the next day. I had left a notebook at school so I decided to go get it. It was really cold out so I took the bus and went to school. The main building door was locked and no one was there and I started to walk back to the bus in tears because I had gone all this way for nothing. One of the maintenance people calls out to me and I turn around and they ask if I need to get into the building. I start waking towards them half crying and I fall on a patch of ice straight onto my butt. By this point I’m sobbing and the man is like what do you need. I manage to mumble something out about a notebook and he is laughing so hard he is crying and we stand there for a min crying from laughter. I finally manage to get my notebook and get home. But the next day was cancelled again because of the cold. My whole trip was pointless and I had a bruise on my hip from falling. So that’s the story on how I went out in freezing temperatures to get a notebook to study for a test that was postponed and ended up with a giant bruise.
