Abel Tesfaye, known by most as The Weeknd, recently did a collaboration with big clothing retailing company H&M. For starters if you do not know The Weeknd, you’ve had to be living in your mother’s basement for the past 5+ years, no offense to whoever that may be. But if you’ve been sleep, it’s time to wake up. He was the guy behind Drake’s arguably biggest album of his career, Take Care. He’s also the guy with the weirdest haircut probably in music at the time. Now The Weeknd is the guy who has been everywhere  with a wide variety of  accomplishments including World Record for Most Consecutive Weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 by a Solo Male Artist, Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album in 2016, while also featuring a new haircut.

A little background information on H&M is that it has been a growing brand since it has gone public. The brand’s worth has constantly risen. The brand provides affordable and trendy products allowing for individuals to dress like their favorite artists or movie stars.

The combination of these two powerhouses proved its worth because on September 28th individuals were going on a frenzy looking for product. Online the total collection has sold out and this is great news for The Weeknd and H&M because by combining the two brands they both were able to gain followers and fans. At WY, The Weeknd and H&M are popular. Jairus Silmon ‘18 said ,“I slept on this drop, after seeing all of the images of the items I wish I at least copped one piece of clothing.” This is the way a lot of people felt after hearing about the products going fast especially after seeing the designs that were available. There have been many collaborations between music artists and clothing brands and the success of this one opens the door for more opportunities for everyone. If you have the opportunity to get a piece of clothing from the collection for an affordable price I advise you to do so because this collection has no intention of restocking.
