App Review: Spark

Lucas Conrad

Keeping track of emails can quickly become a daunting task.  With the massive influx of mail from colleges during their high school careers, Whitney Young students deserve a better way to keep track of their chaotic inboxes.  According to Billy Goode, ‘18, “It’s way more difficult than it should be to keep track of emails. A different option would be great.” That better way is here,  in the form of an app called Spark.

Spark is an app that allows the user to create a custom interface for email applications on their phones.  The Gmail app works fine, and provides a decent way to organize and respond to emails.  However, as many have experienced, the emails quickly pile up and can lead to a disorganized mess, making it difficult to respond or even find the original emails. The app sorts mail into categories, allows users to set alarms to reply on certain emails, and gives users the ability to create replies that the app sends out with one click. Jack Fahey, ‘18, says,  “The spark app has made my email writing a lot easier, being able to set alarms is super useful.”  It also has a feature that allows Apple Watch users to access the app on their devices.

The app has been met with great reviews, and it is the ideal solution to a problem that everyone faces.  Plus, the app is a free download.  As app store user Sailman100 puts it, “It’s the best email system out there… Period!!”.  With Spark, get ready to say goodbye to disorganized emails and hello to a more simplified life.
