Isabella Rosen ‘15

Rosen helps tutor people who are in a class to prepare for their ged test at a community center at Madison and Kedzie. After first semester she had to drop 3 classes and rearrange her schedule so that she could make room for this experience. As of now Rosen is interested in pursuing a career in teaching, which is why she decided to take on this option of senior experience.  “I was scared to be teaching adults at first, but now i really enjoy it and I feel that this is a really great experience” describes Rosen.

Adina Cohen ‘15

For her senior experience Cohen is working as an intern with American Jewish World Service (AJWS). A large part of her internship is working with the AJWS social justice book group: Books Beyond Borders. She reads books and does research on each about the topics to prepare discussion questions.  “I chose to do this because I feel very strongly about human rights and I wanted to spend more of each day as an advocate” remarks Cohen.

Piotr Lewczykowski ’15 and David Klimek ’15

Lewczykowski and Klimek are building a car for their senior experience. Piotr decided to do this just as a hobby and Klimek because he wants to major in engineering. Together they responded “we love it, but sometimes it’s difficult because of the cold”. They are starting with a frame and collect parts from Craigslist and junkyards.

Matt Rennie ’15
Rennie works for an executive branch of Cps. As an intern he does work such as filing papers and logging things in excel spreadsheets, but he did say it is very fun. It allows him to meet new people who could potentially be future bosses and co workers. Also it allows him to brush up on basic computer and communication skills. He notes “It is highly recommended because it’s such a great opportunity”.
