Netflix is one of the most popular streaming platforms in the world. Although Netflix switches between putting on and taking off some of the best movies, there are at least 5 amazing one’s available at the moment. And, I’m going to list them off so you can experience them before they get taken off. 

First off, directed by the great Quinten Tarintino, is Django Unchained. The story is set just before the Civil War, and it is about a slave named Django (Jamie Foxx) who ends up being set free by a German bounty hunter by the name of Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). Once free, Django takes up bounty hunting with his new friend, and in return Dr. Schultz will help reunite Django with his wife, whom he was separated from. Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson also appears in this action-packed, period film. 

Next on the list is The Social Network. Directed by David Fincher, The Social Network is about the journey of Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) as he creates the first greatest social network, Facebook. It is a brilliantly told story of success, envy, and betrayal, as they tell it from the perspective of the court cases Zuckerberg  faces later on. 

Third, starring the great comedian, Adam Sandler, is Uncut Gems. It’s about a jewelry store owner, Howard Ratner, who is in deep trouble with loan sharks. He does all that he can to get out of it, including trying to sell an ancient jewel to Kevin Garnett, one of the greatest power forwards of all time and a future Hall of Famer. Most people don’t take Adam Sandler seriously as an actor because of all the goofy movies he does. But, this movie will erase all doubt and prove that he really is an amazing actor. 

Fourth on the list is Moneyball, the true story of the 2002 Oakland A’s. After losing the American League Championship to the Yankees in 2001, the A’s lost their three best players to the team they lost to. General manager Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) has to figure out how to save his team on a miniscule budget. He puts all his faith in Peter Brand (Jonah Hill), a Yale graduate who believes their problem can be solved with math rather than talent. It is an amazing underdog story that changed baseball forever. 

Last, but definitely not least, is The Dirt. It’s a true story about one of the greatest rock bands of all time, Mötley Crüe. It follows their rise to fame, and all the insanely wild stuff that they do. It’s a masterpiece that follows their friendship and struggle in the world of Rock’n Roll.

I hope that this list was helpful. These are certainly some of the best movies out there, but also some of my personal favorites.
