Tyler, the Creator started his rap career as an outsider known for very controversial subject material in his raps. He was a member of the rap group Odd Future that featured young talent like Syd, Vince Staples, Earl Sweatshirt, and Frank Ocean who are all currently succeeding in their respective careers. Now Tyler, the Creator is seen as a very talented artist and his most recent project which to date is his fourth studio album, Flower Boy, has received praise from many critics. It debuted at #1 for Hip-Hop and #2 for Billboard in the first week of sales. Coming hot off an amazing summer post album and fairly recent collaboration with Converse, Tyler, the Creator released the Golf/Fall Winter lookbook and some of the pieces that were previewed are absolute fire. My favorite piece has to be the long pink trench coat. I had the opportunity to talk with Will Jamison ‘18, a fashion enthusiast, about the collection and he said that “Tyler is successful because of he’s not afraid to stand out using wild colors and patterns. Overall the entire fall/winter collection is fire.” The collection features the likes of a Baseball Jacket, suit, crewneck, tracksuit, and more. This past Saturday October 14 the collection released and you don’t want to regret missing out on such a dope collection to add to your fall/winter pieces.
