“Beetlejuice” (1988, directed by Tim Burton)
Starring Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton
This film depicts a young couple, Adam and Barbara, who become ghosts after a freak accident. They try to adjust into their new lives until the Deetz family move into their home. Their attempts to scare them off are unsuccessful, so Adam and Barbara call on the infamous “bio-exorcist” “Beetlejuice”.

“Zodiac” is a cold-cut thriller based on the manhunt of the real life notorious serial killer “Zodiac,” who killed many in the San Francisco Bay Area during the late 1960s and early 1970s, and is known for sending the San Francisco newspaper cryptic messages about the murders.

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (1975, directed by Jim Sharman)
Starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick
First released as a musical stage production, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is a cult classic about a newly engaged couple who find themselves in a very strangle castle in Transylvania. Catch midnight screenings of “Rocky Horror” at the Music Box Theater, complete with toilet paper-throwing and dancing to the “Time Warp.”

This movie is based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name. It depicts father Jack Torrance taking the job of off-season caretaker at the Overlook Hotel in mountainous Colorado. Along with him are his wife Wendy and son Danny, who is plagued with horrifying visions and talks to an imaginary friend named Tony. Their five month stay at the hotel soon comes up short when strange events begin to take place.

“Halloween” (1978, directed by John Carpenter)
In 1963, a six year old boy is found at his house, after having stabbed his older sister to death with a kitchen knife. Years later, at the age of 21, Michael Myers is at Warren County Smith’s Grove Sanitarium, escaping from the psychiatric home. The next day, it’s Halloween. Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) notices a strange man stalking her and notifies her friends. Her friends, thinking nothing is wrong, consoles her, not realizing what a mistake that was.

“House of 1000 Corpses” (2003, directed by Rob Zombie)
is about two couples who are on a road trip, trying to write a book on roadside attractions. However, their fun trip abruptly stops as soon as they start asking about Dr. Satan, a local legend. After trying to search a spot surrounding Dr. Satan’s death, the couples offer help to a young hitchhiker and bring her back to her family. Along the way, the car tires burst, and the family turns out to be something completely unexpected.

“Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (1974, directed by Tobe Hooper)
Set in Texas, this movie is about five people who go to their grandfathers house, and just like “House of 1000 Corpses,” they end up picking up the wrong hitchhiker. At first, he seems normal but then starts to talk about the slaughter house his family owns nearby. After a while, the group drops him off, scared by his weird personality. A few moments afterwards, the car turns out to have a lower gas amount than was thought…

“Scream” (1996, directed by Wes Craven)
Starring Neve Campbell, Drew Barrymore, Matthew Lilard, Courtney Cox. this movie features several high school students, with a scare of masked murderers gruesomely going around killing their classmates.
