Reselling Supreme Part 3: Selling

Buying the items is only half the battle. Although it can be very difficult to buy items regardless of what they are only the best are resellable. Making sure to purchase only the best items is difficult because of the fast sellout times, but if the item does not sell fast it typically is not very profitable.

To determine which items to purchase good references are EU sellout times and resell social media pages. Pages like RetailorResell provide resale price predictions, giving suggestions which items to purchase for every drop. Supreme releases on the EU website at 4 AM EST, and the sellout times are usually similar to those on the US website. Since the items that sell out fastest are most desirable, a good method is to buy what sells out fastest.

Once you get a good item with resale value you must figure out how to sell the item. The options available to you are eBay, StockX, in person/facebook group, social media pages, consignment stores, and streetwear and sneaker stores.

eBay is the standard online selling platform. Listing and managing items with relisting and messaging back and forth with buyers can be annoying, but eBay takes around 12% of the final value. On eBay items can also sell for more because of the listing system, meaning if your listing is more visible or looks more appealing it can sell for more.

StockX is new to the streetwear scene and is interesting in the way it treats items. Each item is listed with its various sizes and those that are selling determine a price. The seller that has the item listed for lowest sells first, and so on. StockX is frequently blamed for ruining reselling due to the price undercuts that frequently occur. Items almost always sell for the least on StockX.

The other options are mostly person to person with rates and prices that vary wildly. More individual investigation item by item is the best way to determine which of these platforms to sell on.
