This week in sneaks features Jordan Brand, Nike, and Converse. There are collaborations scheduled to release this summer featuring some of these companies and music artists. If you’re into sneakers or even making a little extra money you’re in the right place. Sneakers are and have always been a hobby of mine. I write a bi-weekly column about sneakers so if you like the following article don’t forget to check back for another article soon.

Jordan Brand is back again with a very similar silhouette that I’ve written about recently. The sneaker that they are scheduled to release is the Homage to Home Jordan 1, but this time, non numbered. If you’re curious about the differences between the pair scheduled to release this weekend versus the one that released a couple of weeks ago the clear difference is the fact that there will be no numbers on this shoe. This shoe won’t be as limited as the numbered pairs where there were only 2,300 total made, but the shoe will still be pretty hard to get and will sellout the day of release. The release date for this sneaker is slated for May 19th, 2018. In order to get the shoe, it’s going to cost you $160 + tax. The shoe features great quality similar to the numbered pairs. I’ve happened to be fortunate enough to see both pairs and the quality is the same. When asked about the shoe, Jordan 1 enthusiast and weightlifter Conrad ‘19 said “I love the shoe. I actually got them as a birthday present for myself and they look way better in person than online.” Personally, I enjoy the look of the shoe as well and, if you like Jordan 1s, this should be a must cop for you.

Nike has revealed images of tons of great looking sneakers in this month of May. Some recent updates includes a Nike x Undercover collaboration on the Nike react 87. The collaboration is supposed to feature multiple colorways and they are scheduled to release some time this Fall. When asked about how  he feels about this shoe, sneaker lover William Jamison ‘18 said “I like these shoes. My favorite out of the pack would have to be the red and green pair. I like shoes that have pastel colors to them.” I agree with William as to which pair I would choose to get out of the pack, however, I can’t see myself actually getting the shoe unless it has resale value. Another sneaker that was previewed was the Nike Blazer. This shoe was previewed in three different shades and is expected to be an Off White collaboration. There hasn’t been any news on a release date, so check back in bi-weekly for more updated sneaker news.

Converse has been growing slowly as a brand for the youth as of lately. They’ve been doing partnerships and events with young influencers from different backgrounds giving them the opportunity to sport the brand and share their stories. Converse continues to make the youth their target with their upcoming collaboration with Tyler the Creator, an artist that they’ve been working with for some years now. The two entities have prepared some some shoes for their fans. Slated to release May 31st for $100 + tax are the Golf le Fleur Converse One Star in four different iterations just in time for the summer.
