Home To Homage Chicago Jordan’s

Yen Lee, Editor

Earlier this month, Chicago was taken over by storm when the announcement of the Home to Homage’s was released.  With one half of the shoe resembling the Chicago Jordan colorway and the other half, the Banned Jordan colorway.  The shoes would be released twice this year, the first drop on April 21st and the second on May 19th.  The first from was exclusive to Chicago with only 2300 pairs being dropped, each with a number on the inside of the shoe. The back of the shoes also include For and From, which would not be included on the global release.  The shoes were so popular, New Yorkers came to Chicago to attempt to grab a pair for themselves.

The shoes resell value has gone from $700 to $1100 over the past week and retail prices was only $160 before tax.  With the limitedness and high resale value of the shoes, it is no doubt one of the most successful release this year. Fights had broken out near the Ashland stop at one of the stores and Niketown had several incidents as well.   Many stores had to shut down the sales and sell the shoes through raffles to deter the fights going outside the stores during camp outside.
