Bulls vs Raptors

Edras Montero

The Bulls played the number one team in the East this past Wednesday February 14th, 2018 and it didn’t go well. They lost to the Toronto Raptors 122-98 in relative blowout fashion. After the first quarter where the Bulls had been leading 33-27 it went downhill. The Bulls started off hot but after the starting lineup went to the bench, The Bulls lack of depth began to show and The Raptors outscored The Bulls 34-16 in the second quarter. Bobby Portis AKA crazy eyes lead The Bulls with 18 points while Serge Ibaka and Kyle Lowry lead The Raptors with 20 points each. The Raptors completely dominated the boards and interior game with Ibaka. Angel Silva had this to say on Wednesdays loss to The Raptors,” The Bulls core is good we just need more depth and need to draft players to build around Lavine, Dunn and Markkanen.” Manuel Carcamo, “ The Bulls just need a few more years to compete.” The Bulls are certainly improving from their 3-17 but there’s definitely more that is needed to be to become a top organization in the league again.
