All-Time LA Clippers

Omar Bah

On Tuesday, Blake Griffin was traded to the Detroit Pistons. That got me thinking…is he a member of the Los Angeles Clippers All-Time Starting 5? Here is the Clippers All-Time 5:

PG: Chris Paul

During his time in LA, Paul singlehandedly kept the Clippers afloat in the NBA’s Western Conference. He averaged a virtual double during his years in LA, leading the league in assists and steals twice.

SG: Corey Maggette

Maggette played all but 6 of his NBA seasons with the Clippers. While in LA, he flourished as a scorer after underachieving in college at Duke. His best year with the Clippers was in 2005, when he averaged 22.2 PPG.

SF: Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin does, in fact make the list! During his career as a Clipper, he was one of the best players in the league, averaging 21.6 PPG, and 9.3 RPG. Through 8 seasons, Griffin was a 4-time all-star and is the stud of this group of 5.

PF: Deandre Jordan

Jordan played alongside Griffin for most of his career, and has been one of the best rebounding bigs that the NBA has ever seen, averaging more RPG than PPG in every season but one.

C: Bob McAdoo

McAdoo played much earlier than Griffin and co. but he still makes the list. He was a 5 time all-star, averaging 22 PPG for his career.
