Whitney Young Band is known to have one of the best music programs in the state.  We hold the responsibility to represent CPS.  Having a tight school budget and a reputation to uphold, the band department needs help to fund their upcoming trip to New Orleans.  

They have already made efforts by advertising fundraisers through Chipotle and Potbelly, the most recent of which provided an opportunity for students to pie their teachers.  For only a dollar students are able to heighten their chances to personally pie the teacher of their choosing in the face.  You’re able to purchase tickets in blue house during your lunch period. Phoebe Fischer ‘22 expressed her excitement about the opportunity, “it’s a really creative and harmless way to fundraise, I can’t wait to get payback on my teacher’s.”  Adilene Barragan ‘18 stated “this is a rare opportunity to have some fun with teachers.  This is something to look forward to after stressful college applications.”  To learn more about the upcoming trip and the band program, you can check out their webpage.  You’re welcome to make a donation to the program in general or even to a specific student.  Come out and support your fellow dolphins!
