NBA goes crazy

Erin Choi

The NBA season has been off to a crazy start. Gordon Hayward broke his ankle in the first six minutes of the season opener, the Spurs remain undefeated, per usual, and Lonzo Ball puts in constant effort to try and live up to high standards set by his father, Lavar Ball (head of Big Baller Brand).

This season has been especially hectic because of the high profile, off-season moves. Melo left New York, along with Paul George leaving Indiana, to join the Thunder. Chris Paul finally ditched the Clippers. Chicago boys D Wade and D Rose were traded to the Cavs, reuniting Wade and LeBron. Early on, many fans thought the current league would be extremely unbalanced, as many teams have super stacked rosters, leaving other teams with less than optimal line-ups.

However up until this point, teams known to be subpar have performed considerably well (“Except for the Bulls. They’re straight trash.” -Parker Ljung ’18). The Magic and the Nets both upset the Cavs, the Grizzlies shocked the Warriors, and after twitter beef between respective point guards, the Lakers had a close victory over the Wizards. With all of these crazy happenings, this upcoming NBA season is sure to keep fans riled up.
