As June approaches, you can literally see the agony in students’ eyes as the dreaded AP test season comes upon them. It’s the time of year we all knew we eventually had to face. What we didn’t know was that it would creep up this suddenly. Zach Everett ‘17 is extremely anxious about his AP Econ exam, saying “I am nowhere near prepared to take my AP tests!” Students of Whitney Young are notorious for taking a plethora of AP classes but also complaining about being forced to take the actual tests. Derrick Faulkner ‘17 says “Whitney Young is so stupid for having AP tests that don’t really test students’ potential for college.” AP tests are used to measure your knowledge of the subject you’ve been taught throughout the year and essentially give you college credit. Lamont Wallace ‘17 says “AP tests are stupid because they’re supposed to show which students are prepared for college and which students are not.” AP tests are administered by the College Board.
