Cemitas Pueblas was originally a small restaurant on the corner of North Ave and Monticello in Humboldt Park, but has expanded and opened two new restaurants:  on 3129 W Armitage in Logan Square and 817 W Fulton Market in the West Loop. Cemitas Pueblas is the place to get a variety of Mexican food, especially their handmade cemitas.

They make a limited amount of Mexican food including tacos and ceviche, but their famous dish is the cemita. The cemita is a sandwich made from sesame seed rolls, avocado, chipotle sauce, oaxacan cheese and any choice of your favorite meat. Everything is handcrafted straight from the kitchen. Cemitas Pueblas also give out catering and merchandise to spread their business. Merchandising includes buttons, mugs and shirts. Catering involves ordering a whole set of cemitas, tacos, rice and/or beans.

A fun fact to know about the original Cemitas Pueblas in Humboldt Park is that the owner, Tony Anteliz, was visited by a famous restaurateur named Guy Fieri. Their restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network.

If you want to go to a restaurant with delicious sandwiches and variety, go to Cemitas Pueblas, where they bring the life of Puebla into their food.
