Q: How did you start running track?

A:  I always wanted to run track in high school because I was bad at basketball.

Q: How do you balance your time between school work and track?

A: Through the Grace of God.

Q: Do you have any pre-race rituals?

A: I eat a bowl of oatmeal.

Q: What is the most exciting part of running track?

A: Competing in city, state, and the meets outside of Illinois.

Q: Do you intend to run track in college? If so, do you know where?

A: I’m still thinking about it. I’ve had a good time running in high school, so hopefully I can be successful in college.

Q: What is your favorite memory from being on the track team?

A: I put a bonnet on Coach Caldow’s head. It was funny because mostly African American females wear them, and I gave it to an elderly white man.
