WY artists featured on “SelectED” soundtrack

“selectED,” the documentary about WY that premiered on April 16 featured an original soundtrack that included many of WY’s own talent. The soundtrack included everything from rap, classical, rock to jazz, choral, and feel-good beats. There were a total of 11 songs on the soundtrack which are listed below:

  2. Maybe Next Time- Alaina Stacey’13
  3. Wy Bluez- Alexis Lanier’15, Larry Gray, and Joel Spencer
  4. Tidal Wave- Shiri’15
  5. Moving on (feat. Nora Andrews ‘15) Ira Antelis & Bill Myers
  6. Chimera- Guy Sharp
  7. Meditation from Thais-Massenet –Cyril Wang ‘14 and Jiayin Tang ‘14
  8. As the World if Watching- Alex Sopala ‘15
  9. Beam Me Up (feat. Stephen Shepard) Felipe Oropeza’14 & Fiona Kalensky’14
  10. One Shining Light (feat. The Whitney Young Chamber Choir)- Deijon & Ira Antelis
  11. Give My All- Deijon & Ira Antelis

 

While altogether the songs give the movie a closer feeling to home, even by themselves they exhibit a musicianship and quality beyond all of these artists’ respective years. There were pianos, electric guitars, flutes, electronically engineered sounds, cellos, and a wide variety of other instruments.
