Although WY softball is fresh in starting its season, the student athletes are ready to dominate. Having played 15 games so far, the team has taken home 12 wins. The team is practicing hard everyday after school in preparation for their upcoming games against tough schools such as Fenwick, Niles West, Morton, and Lane Tech. The schedule is up on WY Athletics, if one wishes to take a look more specifically.

The girls have been working hard in preparation for their season and have many positive things to say about their time thus far;
“We’ve really been learning how to play with one another and every game we move a step in the right direction. I see nothing but positives for the rest of the season!” Sam Bergoff ’16 shared, excitedly.

Jackie Baranski ’15 also added on about her experience with the team saying, “We’re one big family. I expect us to give our all in every game. I know we have the talent and drive to go far this year and with our determination anything is possible.”

The Lady Dolphins are excited to start the new spring season swinging and hitting dingers, but they need the support of their fans. If you wish to support the team as the weather warms up and the sun comes up, grab some shades and a glass of lemonade and make it a day at the ballpark.
