With St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and if you want to try some festive foods that are yummy without all the unhealthy calories and sugar of a shamrock shake, then try some of these tasty dishes.

Green Smoothie

Green smoothies can be made with a plethora of vegetables like spinach and kale, mixed with granny smith apples, pears, or bananas to add that extra boost of energy you’ll need throughout the day!

Crispy Green Beans with slivered almonds

Throwing a handful of green beans in a pan to sauté with some olive oil, slivered almonds and chopped garlic never killed anyone! This side dish perfectly captures the nice hue of St. Patrick’s Day while keeping those calories low.

Kale Chips

Kale chips are ideal for those nights when it’s 11 p.m. and you need a crunchy fix. Kale is the most nutritious vegetable you can eat, and with some olive oil, salt and pepper, they are a guilt-free snack that is a much healthier alternative to potato chips!
