The PARCC test, the new Common Core standardized test that will be used in place of the ISAT and ACT tests to assess students in the state of Illinois.

“Chicago Public Schools plans to move forward with the administering of Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Career (PARCC) District-wide,” says vice-principal Melvin Soto in an email on Monday.

According to a letter from Chicago Public Schools, the district planned to only administer the test in 10 percent of schools, but decided to move forward with full implementation after the state threatened to withdraw $1.4 billion in funding from CPS.

In the email from Soto, he says that WY will consider the testing window to start on Monday March 16. Additional information on testing will be emailed to those affected.
