The weather in Chicago is cooling off so use some simple fashion tips to stay fashionable and trendy for the fall season.

Shoes:
For autumn, fashion boots are always in, but this year the new boot trend is over- -the-knee boots. You can dress them up with a skirt or dress, or you can keep them casual with a pair of jeans and a sweater.
Over–the-knee boots also look great with a pair of comfy thigh high socks underneath.

Fall Colors:
Fall colors like burgundy and mustard yellow are in style so spice up your outfit by putting a pop piece or colorful accessories. White and black are also timeless and go with any other color. You can sport a shirt in those colors with a bright (or dark) color bottom or vice versa. Plaid is also very in, so rummage through your parent’s vintage clothing or thrift for a cute skirt or flannel to rap around your waist.

Nails:
Nude nails and accent painting is the perfect accessory for the fall time. OPI and Essie have new fall colors like “Suzy says Da!”(A new matte maroon by OPI) that will have everyone jealous of your nails.

Jackets:
Sheep wool jackets are the cutest way to stay warm. With a pair of jeans it can easily be trendy. Urban Outfitters has a number of sheep wool colored leather and denim jackets that are reasonably priced. Leather jackets are a timeless staple fall piece. With a black or dark brown jacket one can never go wrong. You can wear them with anything you desire.

Sweaters:
Oversized sweaters are always the best way to keep it comfy and cute, try a cream or oversized turtle neck to keep it up to trend. When it comes to fall fashion this year, it is all about color and comfort.
