This past week, on February 19th, the full Pitchfork Music festival lineup was released. Pitchfork is a 3 day music festival that starts on July 17th and goes to the 19th. It takes place at Chicago’s Union Park, just down the street from Whitney Young. This year is the 15th anniversary of the festival so there will be additional events leading up to the festival. Pitchfork brings many different rock and alternative bands together. This year the headliners are a variety of bands including Twin Peaks, The National, and Run the Jewels. “I love Twin Peaks and can’t wait to see them live!” said Emily Ariyama 20’.  Besides the constant music on all three stages, the event features over 50 vendors selling records, t-shirts, and all types of crafts. GA 3 day passes are available now for $150. Single day tickets are $75. PLUS 3 day passes are $385 and single day Plus tickets are $160.

Overall, Pitchfork is a great, chill experience. “Pitchfork is my favorite part of the summer,” remarked Rosie Odom 24’. This festival is super affordable and accessible. “Last year I got to see my favorite singer Clairo at Pitchfork Music Festival,” said Cori Mendez, 21’. If you want great music, yummy food, and good summer fun, check out the Pitchfork Music Festival!
