Together or Alone?

Some people love spending time with their families over the holiday beaks, while others choose to take on the holidays alone. “Yes, that’s what holidays are for. Some people only get to see their family a couple times a year.,” notes Angela Xu, ‘23. People can gather themselves on the holiday breaks to catch up on work or rest alone. Is is better to spend time with friends and family over the break or just be by yourself? “ I think breaks should be spent with family because there is no time during the school year to see them,” says Taylor Newton, ‘22.

Usually, all of your loved ones would come to someone’s home and eat. Either one person would cook all of the food or It would become a potluck. A potluck is where every person attending the event must bring a dish to be eaten at the gathering. There are various ways people like to spend their holidays. “I think the holidays should be spent with however you love. It’s a traditional holiday, but you can be alone to be unconventional.” exudes Kimmy Vu-Smith, ‘21. I guess it is up to each person to decide. Happy holidays everyone!
