How do students release there stress?

Stress is a recurring issue among many students. These students show signs of stress throughout the school year because they tend to have a variety of issues to worry about like school work, after-school activities, and family. Sometimes students tend to let stress affect their grades and they struggle to focus on their academic studies. Here at Whitney Young, students were asked how they cope with daily pressures by lowering their stress levels. Isabella Aguilar 20’ states, “I cope with stress by taking a step back and taking a break from anything that is stressing me out. I usually watch Netflix for a while or I listen to some music.” Following Isabella’s statement, Daisy Guzman 20’ stated, “I handle stress by spending time with my family. I usually talk to my sisters and just relax.” Mariana Almazan 21’ said, “I deal with stress by putting on Netflix and enjoying some of my favorite shows. Having time to relax is a good way to deal with stress.”  Whether spending time with one’s family or using media to relax and put their minds at ease, all students need some form of stress release to stay healthy. Maybe it’s time for you to take a break and make time to relax.
